Does anyone know where a real good copy of GW96 is few bugs,, you know. i am also look for a helpfile(newbie file) of some sorts may tell me how to change the name of the mud, imm, relevel styff of suck IM or mail me plz thanks for your time.

That link has some newbie information, specifically Sections 2, 4 and 5. It is for Rom Muds but the information on commands like grep and GDB is still useful.
To change stuff like relevel or the Mud name you need to edit the file and recompile the source.
grep do_relevel *.c
nano (pico or editor of choice) <filename>
make your changes.
save changes
'make' to compile source
restart Mud
Time synchro. with the server - Timezone/DST with your computer
